Darin’s story
Darin first discovered his unique interest in woodworking during his seventh grade Junior High shop class. He continued to take shop classes throughout high school. He graduated early and joined the Army Reserve at the age of 17 entering into the field as a masonry/carpentry specialist. After a few years, Darin enlisted with the active-duty army. Over the next several years, he served two tours of duty in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom on various construction missions.

Darin’s hard-work during his military service did not go unnoticed. He was awarded seven Army Achievement Awards, three Army Commendation Awards and a bronze star for his service in support of the 4th Infantry and the 173rd Airborne Brigade before returning home.

With help from his wonderful and supportive wife Lisa, Darin used his values of honesty, integrity, dedication/commitment and hard work as a catalyst to move him to start his own business in 2006. He named it Bronze Star Carpentry in honor of his fallen service members and their families left behind.

Today Darin focuses on his true passion of designing and building cabinetry and custom furniture and home accents to suit the needs of his growing list of very happy customers.
